Pregnancy
Pregnancy, also known as gestation, refers to the process in which an embryo or fetus develops and grows inside a woman's body. Pregnancy lasts approximately 40 weeks, or 38 weeks from the time of fertilization and ovulation. Pregnancy begins with the last menstrual period and lasts for 40 weeks (10 months) through delivery.
Prenatal care helps to improve the physical condition during pregnancy, including taking more folic acid, regular exercise, and regular check-ups.
