Ovulation Induction (OI)

Ovulation induction (OI) is a fertility treatment that uses drugs to cause follicles to develop and mature.

Ovulation induction is often used in women with ovulatory disorders (such as polycystic ovary syndrome). Doctors can prescribe oral ovulation drugs or ovulation injections to stimulate the growth of follicles and release mature eggs. Couples can have intercourse according to the recommended time, or use intrauterine insemination (IUI) to improve the chances of pregnancy.
